Responsibilities
1. Oversee the Daily Operations and Programmes of Student Care Centre (“Centre”)
- Oversee the planning, directing, and coordinating of daily programs (including new programs) in alignment with the vision and plans for the Centre
- Work with the Senior Programme Coordinator to ensure that the programs are executed as planned
- Maintain updated records of students' profiles and finance matters
- Ensure the proper documentation and timely submission of applications, withdrawals of enrolment and various fee assistance schemes
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the Centre and safety of the children and staff
- Perform the role of Student Care Fee Assistance (SCFA) administrator in the dealing with Ministry of Social and Family Development
- Liaise with the various Government Ministries, Family Service Centres, and other relevant agencies on matters pertaining to the operations of the centre
- Plan and implement outreach programs to parents and children in collaboration with relevant management committees and community partners
- Liaise with the Centre Governance Committee on matters relating to the centre, as determined by governing agreements
- Manage a volunteer program to recruit, train and sustain volunteers
- Ensure the proper maintenance of the premise and equipment at the Centre
2. Staff Management
- Lead and manage staff members including manpower planning, hiring, direction, support, supervision, discipline, progressive development, and performance review
- Motivate a team of staff to adhere to planned programs and execute activities within the stipulated timeframe
- Plan and allocate manpower and logistics for programs and activities
3. Financial Management
- Manage the budget allocated for the Centre, ensuring proper governance of funds
- Oversee financial administration of the Centre, including budgeting, expenditures, collecting of fees, etc
- Ensure the proper control of all personal records of children and their parents
- Manage and handle all contracts relating to the centre
Job Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role in a Student Care Centre, Childcare Centre, or similar capacity
- Diploma holder, preferably with a background and/or understanding of business management and/or educational psychology
- Management skills to ensure the Centre is run effectively and aligned with organizational vision
- Comfortable performing administrative tasks and in managing confidential data
- Have a deep interest in contributing to the holistic development of children
- People-centric with a passion to mentor and coach a team
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills
