Key responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for senior services that align with
    organizational goals and national healthcare policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage senior services staff, including nursing teams, social workers, caregivers, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for the team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Service Delivery:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of senior care services, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements and adhere to best practices in elderly care.
  • Ensure that services such as nursing care, rehabilitation, social services, and activities are delivered in a client-centered manner.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of care and patient satisfaction, making adjustments as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the budget and financial performance of senior services, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
  • Analyze cost structures and work to optimize operations without compromising the quality of care.
  • Identify funding opportunities, grants, or partnerships to support service expansion or improvement.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that senior services comply with local regulations, such as those set by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other relevant agencies.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance systems, including audits, assessments, and inspections.
  • Ensure that all senior service facilities meet safety, health, and hygiene standards.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and families of seniors.
  • Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and policy discussions related to senior services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance service offerings, such as introducing innovative models of care.

Research and Development:

  • Promote the integration of evidence-based practices in the delivery of senior services.
  • Stay updated on trends, research, and innovations in senior service to ensure the organization is adopting best practices.
  • Encourage continuous professional development for the senior services team to keep up with industry advancements.

 

Crisis Management:

  • Handle emergency situations related to senior services, including health crises, safety concerns, and family disputes.
  • Ensure that there are contingency plans for emergencies, and that staff are trained to respond appropriately.

 

Key requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and policies relevant to senior services in Singapore.
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving and crisis management abilities.
  • Commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
